Antalis has added a portable media roll storage solution to its offering. Stock and Roll accommodates up to six rolls - two inch and three inch cores – and is just 60cm in diameter. Extra roll splitters allows more rolls to be added.

New from Corel comes Painter 2018, a digital painting software that includes features such as Thick Paint, 2.5D Texture Brushes, and Texture Synthesis. It costs £359.99 though registered owners of any previous version can buy it for £179.99.
Woven Monkey’s Epson investment opens new revenue streams
Woven Monkey is launching a service offering craft customers the ability to produce products on a range of polyester-based materials, including silk simulations and stretch fabrics. The move follows an investment by the Ilkeston-based company in an Epson SureColor SC-F-7200 dye sublimation press supplied by reseller RA Smart.
Canon extends Young People Programme
Canon Europe has extended its Young People Programme by offering interactive workshops to students in which they will be encouraged to take photos or videos of subjects that relate to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and express their views on the need for change. The first event took place in Cologne last week and will be followed by workshops in the UK, Finland and Poland in 2017, and in other locations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the future.

Sign industry mourns Peter Tipton
Peter Tipton has died aged 74. He was director of the British Sign Association (BSA) which later became the British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA) for 14 years - from 1991 to 2005. In August 2005, was recruited to act as Secretary to the European Sign Federation, a position he continued to fill right up to the time of his death.
Signs Express Plymouth owner takes part in Sound Venture
Using his boat Sound Venture, Chris Reilly, owner of Signs Express (Plymouth) took part in the Eddystone Charity Sailing Pursuit in Plymouth last Saturday to raise funds for St. Luke’s Hospice - an organisation providing specialist end of life care at home, in Derriford Hospital or in Turnchapel.

The Printing Charity helped 1,646 people in 2016, an increase of 44% over the year before. The figure included 496 people helped through welfare grants, 98 residents in its two sheltered homes for retired people, 537 young people through its education work, 439 people with CV and job search training, and 76 through charity partnerships.
