It is available from PPB in matt white, 1372mm x 50m rolls, for next day delivery. It can also be sheeted to size for flatbed printing.

Real Insurance puts together package for signage specialists
Specialist commercial insurance broker Real Insurance Group has introduced PrintCover+ for PSPs that have diversified from traditional print into the manufacture and installation of signage. It provides insurance options that cover things like the use of heat guns for the application of vinyls, working at height for signage installation, working on vehicles for the application of vehicle graphics etc.

BPIF appeals for Government backing
The BPIF is asking all parliamentary election candidates to sign its ‘Pledge for Print’ in the run up to the general election. The pledge - which challenges candidates to consider whether they could fight an election campaign without printed products - includes myth-busting facts about the effectiveness and sustainability of print. The intention is to persuade candidates to commit to backing the industry if elected as an MP.
Price hike from BASF
As of 1 June BASF has increased prices for numerous pigments by up to 15% worldwide. The price increase predominantly affects phthalocyanine and inorganic pigments used in the printing, coatings, plastics industries. The company said the price adjustments are necessary due to higher raw materials costs e.g. copper, TiO2 or cobalt, as well as further challenging environmental, health and safety costs.

Following last month’s acquisition of Zund Plotting Systems (UK) by Zund Systemtechnik, the St Albans-based company is recruiting sales and engineering experts.
Vivid forms partnership with Color-Logic
Vivid Laminating Technologies has formed a partnership with US-based Color-Logic. The Color-Logic suite of colour communication systems and software tool sets work in conjunction with Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign applications, allowing designers to work with a pallet of 250 metallic foil colours achievable using a digital printer and Vivid’s Matrix Digital Foiling and Laminating System and its Aqua Aura silver or rainbow holographic foils.
Xaar extends aqueous printhead portfolio
Xaar has added the 5501 to its portfolio of aqueous printheads for OEMs. This is the first product resulting from Xaar’s collaboration with Xerox, and is said to deliver high print quality combined with low printing costs whilst integration costs will also be kept to a minimum.
