The Versa Tech 2 developed by Blackman and White in conjunction with US-based MCT - and which won the SGIA Product of the Year Award for Finishing-Routers/Cutters - is being introduced into Europe at Fespa 2017.

Mimaki is developing a 3D printer – currently known as the 3DUJ-P – based on its UV technology. The machine, which will produce models up to 500 x 500 x300mm, was announced at Fespa 2017 and is expected to be available before the end of 2017. It will cost around 200,000 Euro.

Ricoh is using Fespa 2017 to launch the Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 direct-to-garment printers incorporating its piezo-electric printhead technology. Aimed at those wanting to handle promotional printing on items like T-shirts, cloth bags, hoodies, sweatshirts and socks, the Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 can print on a range of materials. 

A new event designed to show creatives what can be achieved with innovative digitally printed applications will run at the RAI in Amsterdam, 17 - 19 April 2018. It is being organised by FM Brooks - which runs InPrint - and will run alongside Building Holland, a construction exhibition attended by architects, interior design, and production companies.

Agfa is showcasing its new Jeti Tauro H2500 LED UV printer at Fespa 2017 this week. The 2.5m wide hybrid inkjet printer also has an integrated roll-to-roll system for continuous and automated media feeding.

France-based Senfa is introducing its Sublimis range of fabric for transfer and direct sublimation printing at Fespa 2017 as part of the Decoprint offering. It is initially available in 3.1m-wide roll but the product line will be expanded to widths of up to 5m.

 

Aslan has brought out additions to its WrapTheHouse digitally printable films for the decoration of rough wall surfaces. For application in places where reflections ought to be avoided, users have a choice of two new matt facade films - either white or transparent. These self-adhesive films retain their matt finish even after application and do not require any additional protective laminate. The variants come with a weatherproof adhesive. 

Inca Digital is set to launch a B1 inkjet printer at Fespa 2017 in Hamburg next week. The new machine - built on the same platform as the Onset X and the SpyderX – will be distributed globally by both Inca and parent company Fujifilm. The latter will have it on its Fespa stand. 

Former Fujifilm Graphic Systems UK director Keith Dalton has moved to become head of service in the company's European Graphic Systems business. Taking over the running of the UK Graphics operation is Chris Broadhurst, who has been appointed general manager. 

Kornit will use Fespa 2017 to show its new Storm Duo direct-to-garment printing system. With its 16 printheads in a double CMYK configuration, the Storm Duo is optimised for the production of light garments, with a productivity of 200+ prints per hour. The company will also show its recently introduced Avalanche Hexa R-Series and Vulcan. 

Fespa has added a number of seminars to its conference schedule for Fespa 2017. The programme now comprises 23 individual sessions, starting at 12.30pm on Monday 8 May and running the course of the show until 1pm on Friday 12 May.
