Spandex has introduced ImagePerfect profiles for Roland’s TrueVis series of printer/cutters. 150 profiles have been introduced for use with the TrueVis SG- and VG-series, alongside Roland DG’s seven-colour EJ-640 printer - in total spanning five printer models, and eight different colour configurations. The profiles are compatible with eight different media categories including: PVC banner, PVC mesh, textile, paper, vinyl, backlit, window film and speciality. 

A range of cast acrylic LED lightboxes previously manufactured for brands is now available to buy online from Mid West Displays, which makes them at its Shrewsbury-base.

Innotech has launched a customised pricing system for its trade customers. It has also introduced a new Quick Quote form for enquiries that are a “little out of the ordinary”. The company said customers can submit details of their enquiry, and within an hour they will receive a quotation. 

On 15 May Sun Chemical will increase the price of all inks and coatings containing acrylic derivatives. The company said disruption in the production of certain building blocks used in the making of inks and coatings, such as styrene and acrylic acid, will cause price increases of up to 8% in the cost of all water-based and UV/EB inks and coatings depending on the amount of raw material used and geographical region amongst other factors. Other product lines may also be affected depending on the evolution of important raw materials such as nitrocellulose, distillates, solvents and soya oils among others. 

EFI has recorded revenue slightly down for the first quarter of 2017 set against the same period last year. For the quarter ended March 31, 2017, it reported revenue of $228.7m, down 2% ($234.1m) on the 2016 period. GAAP net income was $5.5m, up 160% compared to $2.1m for the same period in 2016. Non-GAAP net income was $25.8m, down 2% compared to non-GAAP net income of $26.3m for the same period in 2016. Cashflow from operating activities was $14.9m, up 66% compared to $9m . during the same period in 2016.

Fespa has announced the line-up for the 2017 Printeriors Conference aimed at showing designers just what is possible when using print for interior decor. The programme, which will take place on Thursday 11 May 2017 during Fespa 2017, will comprise three main sessions: The interior trends you'll be loving in 2017/18; Inspiration hour, stand out from the crowd; and Design beyond your eyes.

Innotech will showcase eight new roller banner ranges at Fespa 2017. “Our new roller banners - from the contemporary, cylindrical Compass to the wave-shaped Valiant and the superwide Panorama - suit every taste and budget,” said Gavin Dallow, international sales manager.

William Smith has added 17 more colours and finishes to its stock. They include eight new satin colours, seven new ColorFlow colours, one addition in the Diamond series and two European gloss colours. The new colours are available to order in 1.52 x 25m roll size.

DP Lenticular has brought out the first large-format Motion lens lenticular sheet to be designed and extruded in Europe. Motion 20 LPI UV-LF, which has a viewing angle of 54 degrees and a thickness of 1.95mm, is suitable for the production of animation lenticular images on digital printers and flatbed printers direct to the lens or via lamination. It can be finished on an automatic cutting table, manual cutting machine or a flatbed laser plotter.

HP has used ISA Sign Expo HP to introduce 54in HP Latex 315 and 64in HP Latex 335 print and cut solutions. The company also extended the media offering for its Latex printers with a new series of textiles for soft signage applications.
