CMYUK does deal with Esko
CMYUK has signed an agreement with Esko whereby it will take responsibility for new mainland UK sales of Esko hardware and software into the sign and digital market. Esko will continue to service its key account and legacy customer base, and its own engineering and support teams will continue to supply aftersales service and support for all Esko system sales.

Octink introduces its Print Guardian
Octink has introduced Print Guardian, an in-house developed bespoke Web-to-print system that allows customers to place signage orders online from smartphones, tablets and laptops as well as from a desktop computer. Orders can be placed 24/7 for standard signage or a customised design. “With its customisable tools and proofing features, Print Guardian is particularly effective at ensuring branding is consistent from design to completion,” added Octink MD Mike Freely.
Papergraphics introduces inkjet printable roller-blind material
At Sign and Digital UK Papergraphics debuted Decortex roller-blind fabrics to complement its Digimura wallcoverings. The material can be printed using latex, UV or eco-solvent ink wide-format printers.

Best Digital pulls off Reebok job
PPB’s Allison Board has been used to create an attention-grabbing backdrop at an event to launch the new Reebok Crossfit Nano 7. The 2m high 3D lettering to promote the Twitter hashtag #NANO7 for the new shoes, was created by Welwyn Garden City-based Best Digital.
Hop works with EFI to show off green print capability
Hop Industries has produced a campaign to show print buyers and brands what’s possible with its 100% recyclable Hop-Syn synthetic papers. The print campaign features three of Hop-Syn’s synthetic paper grades (XT, BL, and TO) - designed for durable print promotions such as POP displays, banners, blockout and backlit signs - printed on the EFI Quantum LED inkjet printer.
Colorjet shows off concept printer in India
ColorJet India has provided live demonstrations of the world’s first eco solvent concept printer with Xaar Mems printhead technology at the APPPEXPO trade show in Shanghai. The 1.8m wide printer is said to “run at astounding speeds” though detail has yet to emerge.
AG/CAD adds DYSS X9 to its offering

Canon acquires Kite.ly
Canon Europe has acquired Kite.ly, a London-based mobile ecommerce platform specialising in personalised print. The acquisition is in line with Canon’s ambition to play a part in every image taken and to make image printing accessible to all via any device.
New Roland PrintStudio launched
The Roland PrintStudio (RPS) by Caldera has been launched. The Rip and print management software package runs with the latest Mac OS, is armed with APPE 4 and is available in multiple languages. It has a newly designed interface, enhanced colour control, better file preparation and fast Rip speeds according to Roland.
