It has emerged that thousands of pounds are owed by BHS to printers while ahead of them is a long queue of creditors including the Inland Revenue, VAT, the banks, the landlords and of course around 11,000 staff employed directly or indirectly by the firm.

Dscoop, the networking forum for users of HP printers, has formed a UK and Ireland local chapter, chaired by Pureprint Group’s Aaron Archer. The chapter plans to deliver localised events and initiatives to inform, educate, encourage collaboration and assist members in growing their businesses. The first event is scheduled for 4 July 2016 in Windsor.

PressOn has helped the Flower Council of Holland to create a 35m2 ‘living painting’ using digital print and 26,500 real flowers. The work was commissioned to celebrate the support of Funnyhoflowersdothat.co.uk, an initiative of the Flower Council for the Dutch Flowers exhibition at the National Gallery that runs until 29 August 2016.

ReproMax partner company Callprint has hosted an international group of printers at its production hub at Saffron Hill in London. Representatives from Beeline and Blue (Des Moines), Indox (Saint Louis), CyberCopy (Los Angeles), Electrogeloz (Paris), Honblue (Hawaii), Rileys (Calgary), SBR (Salt Lake City), and Thomas Printworks (Dallas) were brought to the site by ReproMax following their Drupa attendance to look at Callprint’s day-to-day operations.

EFI has acquired integrated 3D design software company Optitex. The privately held company will be integrated into EFI's Productivity Software business unit. 

Yorkshire-based POS specialist Kolorcraft has bought an Inca Digital Onset X3. The company placed the order on the Fujifilm stand at Drupa.

Industry stalwart frank Moran has joined Antalis as visual communications strategic development director for its sign and display business. He will report national sales director Bruce Munro.

Sign and Digital UK event organiser Faversham House has installed a number of wall graphics to ‘bring the outside in’ at its two-storey offices. Vinyl Impression provided a site survey, advice on the choice of materials and images, through to image editing, printing, finishing and installation of the final wallcoverings across the office into which Faversham move three years ago.
