Agfa will open a new inkjet solutions showroom in the UK in March. The Belgian group’s new UK premises, in Rugby, will also house a radiology service centre.
The new 325m2 facility is expected to house the latest wide-format inkjet printers and presses, as well as a bespoke demonstration and training area for Agfa’s Asanti and Apogee software suite. Next to that Agfa Radiology Solutions will showcase its latest mobile system, the DR 100s.
Agfa-Geavert announced the closure of its printing plate factories in Pont-à-Marcq (France) and Leeds (UK) in June last year. The Leeds site served both inkjet as a showroom location, as well as a base for radiology service. By committing to the new site in Rugby, Agfa hopes for a seamless continuation of those activities.
