Textile manufacturer Senfa outlines expansion route

France-based substrates manufacturer Senfa - part of the Chargeurs Group and maker of the Decoprint printable textile range - is expanding its reach and offering. January 2017 will see the creation of a US-based sales position and employment of Spanish speaker to cover Central and South America.

The move by the company - which sells its products in the UK through Soyang - follows the appointment this year of distributors in India, Australia and South Africa.

“New markets and new applications are the backbone of Senfa's growth strategy. A renewed focus on interior decor and wall covering products should help our double-digit annual growth figures continue for the foreseeable future,” said Decoprint's business unit manager Blaise Humphries

In 2001, Senfa invested in a 3.2m coating line to diversify its core product offerings to encompass wider widths for the large-format print sector. In 2004, it formalised its entry into this space by creating the Decoprint division to focus on the manufacture and coating of textiles specifically for the large-format digital print market. Boosted by the success of the Decoprint product range - suitable for solvent, UV and latex print technologies,

- Senfa opened an 8m Euro 5m-wide coating line in 2015. New Decorpint products are said to be in the pipeline.
