Lintec Europe (UK) has experienced a year of sustained growth following the formal acquisition by its Japanese parent company, Lintec corporation in November 2016. The agreement involved the purchase and transfer of all shares of Lintec Graphic Films Ltd to Lintec's wholly owned European subsidiary, Lintec Europe, based in the Netherlands. On 21 September 2017 Lintec Graphic Films changed its name to Lintec Europe (UK) as a reflection of its position within Lintec Corporation.

Milton Keynes-based Icon Graphics has completed installation of the UK’s first Durst Rho P10 250HS Plus 6C + W inkjet printer. Director Neville Tosar said: “It improves our offering and will more than double production capacity. It shows we are investing in our customers and that we are safeguarding the quality of our production well into the future.”

SAi has signed a worldwide agreement to supply three newly-created Flexi-driven cutting software packages with Graphtec’s large-format vinyl cutters. Sappi is to acquire the speciality paper business of the Cham Paper Group (CPG) for CHF146.5m. The deal includes CPG’s Carmignano and Condino Mills in Italy, its digital imaging business in Cham, Switzerland, as well as all brands and know-how. The acquisition - expected to be finalised during the first calendar quarter of 2018 - will be funded through internal cash resources.
