Nick Caminiti, car wrap installer at Exotic Graphix from Australia, has won the Avery Dennison ‘Wrap Like A King’ 2017 challenge. He competed against 159 installers from 19 countries to earn the title.

525 attendees from 23 countries attended the recent Inkjet Conference (TheIJC) conference and tabletop exhibition, making it the biggest event of its type for inkjet engineering and chemistry. Organisers are now planning the agenda for TheIJC USA (12-13 April 2018 in Chicago) and the anniversary 5th edition of TheIJC in Düsseldorf (15-17 October 2018).

The campaign strapline for Fespa 2018 is 'Where Print Takes Off'. The show will take place 15-18 May and occupy ten halls at Messe Berlin, which last hosted the event in 2007. The expo will cover digital wide-format, screen printing and textile printing. It will also have a hall dedicated to substrates, reflecting the critical role played by media innovation in enabling application diversification. Visitors will also have access to the European Sign Expo, dedicated to non-printed signage.

Fujifilm is demonstrating its UV inkjet solutions for membrane switch graphic overlay printing at Productronica 2017 in Munich this week. The stand features an Acuity LED 1600 II printer producing embossed samples on MacDermid and Kimoto films for visitors to take away.

Summa distributor Phaisankij (PSK) Engineering has opened Summa customer experience centre near Bangkok in Thailand in partnership with All About Print. The centre is home to a Summa F Series F1330 grand-format flatbed cutting table, with a working area of 129 x 305cm. Roland DG has created an applications wall at its Clevedon headquarters to show what’s achievable using its digital print technology. Based on the Roland DG strapline ‘Transforming Your Imagination Into Reality’ the wall was developed by Creative Centre manager Joe Wigzell over a two-week period.
