Tecna system used in award winning stand build

An exhibition stand put together by exhibition and modular display specialists Bell Stone Associates using the Tecna Display T3 Affinity system has won the ‘Best at BETT’ award for Bloodhound's ‘Race for the Line’ project at the Microsoft Education Activity Stand at BETT 2017.

Bell Stone Associates was commissioned by Bloodhound to design and construct a functional and attractive stand, which had to include a modular racetrack and promotional walls and advertising banners.

Oliver Bell, managing director of Bell Stone Associates, said: "The brief called for a package that could be easily installed while being stored and transported efficiently as it will be travelling to Dubai in April and then worldwide over the next two years.

"It also needed to be flexible enough to have the length of the track changed according the floor space and the stage of the competition. It also needed to look good and be stable and tough enough to withstand crowds of children."

It took two members of the Bell Stone team a day to build the entire stand which comprised a racetrack built using the T3 Affinity system with modular sections providing the opportunity for the length of the track to be changed according to floor space and the stage of the competition. It had features such as workstations for individual teams to work on model cars, plus a pair of screens to display the race times and leader board updates.

The promotional back wall combined T3 Affinity posts and beams so that is meant that the remained stable without losing any display or design capabilities. The T3 Affinity framework was fitted with Velcro tape which allowed for the fabric graphics to be mounted on site.
