Online digital print giant Pixartprinting has diversified into customisable promotional items in three categories - technology, office and stationery, and home and leisure. The first tranche of promotional items includes more than 50 products, with thousands of combinations.

Agfa Graphics is using C!Print 2018 this week to introduce a new 1.65m-wide hybrid printer, the Anapurna H1650i LED.

EFI has recorded record fourth quarter revenue of $269.2m, up 1% compared to fourth quarter 2016 revenue of $266.7m. For the year ended 31December, 2017, the company reported revenue of $993.3m, up 0.1% year-over-year compared to $992.1m for the same period in 2016. But, cashflow from operating activities was $51.3m, down 58% compared to $121.0m during the same period in 2016.

New from Fujifilm comes the Acuity LED 1600R roll-to-roll printer, said to offer a flexible, lower cost alternative to the Acuity LED 1600 II. The new model - which will get its first public outing at C!Print Lyon (6-8 February) and be commercially available from 1 March - is optimised for four-colour CYMK printing, but is otherwise similar in performance to the hybrid model.

The Printing Charity is calling for entries to the 2018 Print Futures Awards. Grants of up to £1,500 are available to help people aged 18 to 30 years pay for recognised UK training courses for careers in the UK printing, paper, publishing, packaging and graphic arts sectors or to develop their existing workplace skills in those sectors. The closing date for applications is midnight on 29 April 2018.

US-based creative design company Eclipse Corp has bought a Massivit 1800 3D printer to differentiate its service offering from other print competitors, with owner Jeff Burt predicting that the kit will be integral to achieving revenue growth.
