Mimaki will introduce the JFX500-2131 high-speed UV-LED flatbed inkjet printer at Drupa this week. It will take centre stage alongside its new JV400-LX latex ink printer and the new JV400-SUV solvent UV machine. The company will also showcase the Easy Direct Print System, an automatic misalignment adjustment system.
Equipped with newly developed printheads, the JFX500-2131 provides output up to 60m2/h in four-colour mode, and up to 50m2/h with white ink.
The large-sized flatbed (210cm x 310cm) enables direct printing on a wide range of materials up to a 100mm high. The company said the UV-LED curing unit ensures significantly improved curing-efficiency for high-speed printing uncured ink being left behind.
The Easy Direct Print System uses a dedicated camera and software (a plug-in for Raster Link 6) to read and automatically adjust the misalignment. And because printing data is automatically adjusted against the set jig, accurate print results are achievable even if the setting was roughly implemented.
