EFI has announced that Paratore Signs has become one of the country's first businesses to install the new, hybrid roll/flatbed EFI Vutek H2000 Pro printer with UltraDrop Technology. The Syracuse, New York, USA-based company purchased the printer to augment its digital production of signs and display graphics.

Speedscreen’s £1m investment programme included the addition of a fully-featured super-wide Kongsberg C digital finishing system. Specialized in posters, POP displays, POS and signage, Speedscreen is one of UK’s leading large format printers with a £2.2m annual turnover. The company is no stranger to adopting cutting-edge technology. As an example, it was the first in Europe to install the Durst Rho 1012 large format printer. And it was now again among the first to acquire an Esko Kongsberg C64.

Leading label, plastics and digital printing specialist Print-Leeds has cemented its position as one of the UK’s most technologically-advanced printing houses with the arrival of a Screen Truepress Jet W3200UV ST wide-format flat-bed printer.

A Nyala 2 UV inkjet printer started working at Atelier Bischof AG in Tübach, Switzerland in early February. It is the 500th printer to be delivered by developer and producer swissQprint.

Drytac Europe, an international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the print, label and industrial markets, has installed a brand new JetMounter JM63 Fuzion laminator at Newman Displays following its ‘Win a Laminator’ prize draw. The laminator was installed at London-based Newman Displays in January 2015.

Richnerstutz, based in Villmergen, Switzerland, installed its fourth Vutek grand-format printing system since 2005. Their new EFI Vutek GS3250lx Pro is a hybrid machine with a 320-cm print width for flatbed and roll-to-roll printing. It gives richnerstutz the ability to print faster with better quality and colour and at a higher resolution, while significantly reducing power consumption. At the same time, the company is also able to free up capacity on its five-metre Vutek press by moving roll-to-roll jobs up to 320-cm wide to the new Vutek hybrid LED printer.

The Excellent Cutting Company, traditionally focused on the marine market, is steering a course into new territory, expanding into graphic display and signage.

Tinton Falls, New Jersey USA-based printing company Hatteras has installed a roll-to-roll EFI Vutek GS5500lxr Pro LED inkjet printer with UltraDrop Technology.

"Superwide-format inkjet has been a strong driver of organic growth for us, as well as a point of entry for new accounts," said Bill Duerr, Hatteras's president. "With the growth opportunities we have, we felt we needed more firepower and the new Vutek LED printer is taking those efforts to the next level."
