The Oc? Arizona 550 GT display graphics printer reaches out to high capacity print providers, typically companies printing larger (or many smaller) graphics for sign and display applications, for whom total or peak capacity is crucial. For existing users this new addition to the range offers a growth path where capacity has been reached and additional productivity is needed. It can produce more than 40m2 of high quality printing per hour, or more than 100 full-size boards per eight-hour shift.

Truly versatile, the Oc? Arizona 550 GT is ideal for producing a wide variety of display graphics such as event graphics, signage, banners, backlit and reflective rigid displays, transit advertising and directional signage. Unlike with many high capacity flatbed printers, the Oc? Arizona 550 GT display graphics printer features image quality suitable for closely viewed point-of-purchase signage.
Because of its ability to print on a range of materials not predetermined simply by 'square, flat and thin' and its support of white ink, the Oc? Arizona 550 GT can produce applications beyond the norm including custom furniture, glasswork, fixture enhancement and lots more.
The print area on the Oc? Arizona 550 GT is 2.50 x 1.25m and users can print on heavy substrates such as glass or materials that have an uneven surface, like wood. This is a huge advantage over competitive rigid-capable printers using belt or friction-based media feed systems, as they can only print on square-cornered, lightweight materials of uniform thickness. The white ink option expands the printing possibilities to more exotic applications that command premium prices. Delivering near photographic image quality and sharpness only before achieved at resolutions of 1,440dpi or higher, with perfectly legible text as small as 6pt. Oc? VariaDot imaging technology and the four-colour ink system significantly reduces ink consumption over six colour systems, with an average of eight millilitres used per square metre, setting a new standard for print economy.

Extra speed increases printing capacity
The extra speed of the Oc? Arizona 550 GT enables the printer to produce up to 100 2440mm x 1220mm (8' x 4') sheets in a single shift in production mode. For high quality close view graphics fine art mode produces prints at 23m2 per hour. For specific media types and applications express mode will print at an astonishing 67m2 per hour.
White ink expands capabilities
The Oc? Arizona 550 GT includes a white ink option. This enables under-printing for non-white media or objects, over-printing for backlit applications on transparent media and printing white as a spot colour. Under-printing white ink provides a base for non-white surfaces, to which colour can be added. Over-printing white ink provides a diffusion layer for backlit applications that are viewed from the unprinted side, enabling users to produce high quality backlit images for point-of-purchase applications. The ability to also print white ink as a spot colour enables white features of images to be highlighted for greater effect.
Roll media option
A roll media option gives the ability to print onto flexible media up to 2.2m wide, including banners, films, self-adhesive vinyl, papers and blue backed paper. You don't have to compromise as the rigid and the flexible printing areas do not interfere with each other. The two printing surfaces can be used sequentially so there is no down time reconfiguring from one print mode to another.
