Hexcite launches Target :: 2025 sustainability plan

The Hexcite group has launched ‘Target :: 2025’, a sustainability project that aims to see it become a net-zero carbon business by 2025.

The plan also includes being zero to landfill by 2021, embedding a global, sustainable materials procurement process by 2022, and transitioning to a circular economy business by 2023.  

The group is comprised of Gardners,Blaze Signs, Kesslers, Proportion London, the Hexcite Studio and Cygnia Maintenance, each of which will work   towards the sustainability objectives to reduce operational carbon footprint and ensure sustainable working practices for their business and their suppliers.

The group has already made significant headway in achieving its targets. Innovations include ReActivair, a pollution-eating speciality coating by Gardners that uses energy from natural sunlight to break down harmful pollutants and odour molecules in the air surrounding the print area; fully recyclable materials for manufacturing and print projects from Kesslers and Blaze Signs; energy audits by Cygnia Maintenance, and high-quality body forms manufactured from sustainable materials by Proportion London.

To support the launch of Target :: 2025 the Hexcite Group is hosting a ‘Sustainability Showcase’ at its offices in Stratford, London between 2pm - 5pm on Wednesday 15 September 2021. With a panel of expert industry speakers, including retail sustainability expert Steve Lister as well as representatives from Whitbread and L’Oréal, the event will delve into the latest developments in sustainable retail practices. It will also demonstrate sustainable materials and working processes that can be delivered across a broad range of projects. Interested parties can apply online to attend.
