The BPIF will hold webinars throughout 2024 to explain the requirements of European Union Deforestation Regulations (EUDR) and have released a guidance document on the topic to help clarify the situation.
The BPIF’s environmental forum has been working in collaboration with Intergraf to provide the guidance, which points out that any UK or EU based companies placing certain fibre (paper and board) printed products onto the EU market need to be aware of their obligations under EUDR.
The federation has also flagged up the need for printers to ensure that they are being Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) compliant and are not opening themselves up to tax implications. Guidance is available from the BPIF.
