Mimaki to highlight environmentally friendly printing

At Fespa Digital Mimaki will work with media suppliers Avery Dennison and Mactac to highlight eco-friendly printing possibilities via its UJV-160 and CJV30 series.

Mimaki’s UJV-160 large format hybrid printer employs UV LED curing technology, which features a low ambient heat resulting in substantial energy savings coupled to the ability to print to heat sensitive media. Additionally, Mimaki’s UV LED curable inks are available in reusable 600cc ink packs and contain a low level of VOCs. At the show, the UJV-160 will be printing on non-PVC film from Avery Dennison. The media features solvent-free adhesive and eliminates any halogen-related disposal concerns.

Mimaki’s integrated inkjet printer/cutter, the CJV30, will print at the exhibition using Mimaki’s ES3 eco-solvent inks on self-adhesive non-PVC media from Mactac. This combination creates a more environmentally friendly printing solution for producing outdoor and indoor graphics. The Mimaki CJV30 consumes relatively little ink and requires a very small amount of media heating which in turn, results in low energy consumption.

Visitors to the stand will also be able to see almost the whole portfolio of Mimaki’s printers and cutters, including the new JV34-260, which can be run with aqueous dye sublimation inks for transfer printing to eco-friendly polyester, or with solvent inks for outdoor durable banner output.
