Customised Design Forum to be held at Viscom

Viscom 2011, in co-operation with the raumprobe materials agency, Forteam Communication and Mutoh Deutschland, will host a newly established Customised Design Forum. The move follows the growing popularity of “creations with a character of their own” as the private, public and commercial sectors seek a greater degree of individuality that can digital print can now deliver.

The centrepiece of the Customised Design Forum is the ‘print design!’ object section designed by various manufacturers of machinery and materials. On an area of 100m2, participating companies will present the many options digital printing offers today. There will be a bar counter with a digital print design, as well as a three-dimensional circular textile structure suspended from the ceiling. Other exhibits demonstrating the possibilities of this technology include seating furniture, a variety of floor coverings such as laminate and carpeting, tables, glass steles, display frames and stands. Lighting technology and digital signage solutions will also be showcased.

Among the companies that have already announced their participation in the Customised Design Forum are Consystec Gesellschaft für Produktentwicklung, Falk and Ross Group Europe, Pongs Textil, Egger Retail Products, Sensient Imaging Technologies, PrimeX, 3A Composites and Mutoh Deutschland.

The digital printing segment will likewise include a series of lectures to complement the exhibition. Participants of the Customised Printing Workshop will have a full day on the topic of customised design. Speakers from the industry will give lectures on customising and finishing technologies, production processes and machine technology and present customised furnishing solutions and designs for shops and exhibitions. The exhibitors will also take part presenting up-to-date practical examples.

Viscom 2011 takes place 13 - 15 October in Düsseldorf, Germany.
