William Smith expands its film portfolio

New from William Smith are the new Arlon 6000RP and 6000XRP graphic films for complex curves while, for displays, the company has introduced Arlon DPF 208 Series (a 200gm roll-up with block-out) and DPF 210 Series (a 250gm roll-up with a grey block-out liner). William Smith has also launched its own range of cast and calendered carbon fibre films.

The Arlon 6000 gloss white cast vinyl films have been specifically designed for large-format graphics. They can be applied to flat, riveted, contoured and complex curved surfaces where good conformability is required. However they are not suitable for surfaces with deep recesses.

A special lay-flat liner and permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive make Arlon 6000RP easy to apply and give excellent opacity. 6000XRP features x-scape air-release adhesive, which ensures a bubble-free finish. The Arlon 6000 range comes with up to seven years outdoor durability; and a clear version is also available for window and second surface signage.

The Arlon DPF films can be used for a whole range of applications inclusing banners, roll-ups, indoor advertising, point-of-sale, retail and exhibition display material. DPF 210 can also be used for pop-up displays.

Both films come in matte finish and are suitable for latex, solvent and eco-solvent printing. They are available in a choice of two roll sizes, 914mm x 30m and 1270mm x 30m.

DPF 208 Eco Roll-Up polypropylene film is 100% biodegradable and remains so when printed with latex inks.

The new calendered 50.900 Series carbon fibre film is suitable for flat and slightly curved surfaces, making it ideal for vehicle bonnets and roofs as well as full body applications. The deep embossed 3D design has parallel lines in the carbon fibre pattern and, at 160 micron thickness, it is extremely flexible and can also be used for general graphics and striping. With air channels in the adhesive, 50.900 offers fast, easy and bubble-free application. It is available in a range of colours, including black, white and silver in 1520mm x 30m rolls, and can also be ordered by the metre.

The multi-layered 135 micron cast material 10.900B Series is suitable for full vehicle wraps and is designed to conform easily around compound curves, rivets, corrugations and recesses. It can also be used for general graphics and striping. 10.900B Series is available in black (1525mm x 25m rolls) and anthracite (1370mm x 25m rolls).
