Xaar recruits ceramics ink partner

Xaar has partnered with China Glaze Company in Taiwan to optimise the performance of its digital ceramic inks with the Xaar 1001 printhead.

China Glaze Company is part of the China Glaze Group and one of Asia’s largest producers of ceramic colours, glazes and frits for the ceramic industry. The $200 million turnover company has been supplying the ceramics market for over 40 years and today employs 800 people across its five production facilities in China, Taiwan and Indonesia.

“The digital tile decoration market in China is undergoing rapid growth. The innovative Xaar 1001, which has revolutionised the European ceramics industry, has naturally become the printhead of choice in the region due to its unrivalled reliability in harsh industrial environments,” said Bob Bobertz, general manager, Xaar Asia Pacific.

“It’s essential that we give tile manufacturers in Asia the ability to work with a local ink supplier if they prefer; China Glaze, with its strong reputation as a major supplier of digital ceramic inks across Asia, is a significant addition to Xaar's Ink Partner Programme."

There are now ten digital ceramic tile printer manufacturers that use Xaar technology for their industrial strength printers: EFI Cretaprint, Hope, Kerajet, Intesa-Sacmi, Meijia, New King Time, Projecta SiTi B&T, Teckwin, TecnoFerrari and TSC have all chosen the Xaar 1001 (GS6 and GS12 variants).
