New investment and operational changes at Hollanders

Hollanders Printing Systems has won new investment and made operational changes to allow it to expand its wide-format digital textile printing solutions business.

Private investor Guy Zwart has become CEO of the company, while another private investor Wout van der Wijk, an expert in strategic business management, adds development support. Peter Hollanders becomes CTO, enabling him to concentrate on new technologies for use in digital textile printing. Additional appointments include sales, service and support staff.

“Both investors saw immediately the enormous potential in the rapidly growing market for digital textiles, and fell in love with the Hollanders concept,” said Peter Hollanders. “We are ready to expand with exciting new machines for 2013 to complement the existing successful ColorBooster XL solution, and this injection of funds and practical involvement from van der Wijk and Zwart is perfectly timed for our future plans.”

“Hollanders Printing Systems is in the unique position of manufacturing its solutions in mainland Europe in an easily accessible location in terms of sales, service and logistics,” added van der Wijk. “We are particularly impressed with the quality of the systems being produced here in The Netherlands, along with their environmental benefits. As investors, we are eager to be involved in the future growth of the company as demand increases for digital textile printing in the display, fashion, décor and industrial segments.”

The move bolsters the manufacturer of the ColorBooster wide-format printer platform, complemented by the ColorFix fixation unit, the ColorWash washing machine and the ColorEdge cutting unit. New additions to the series will be launched throughout the year and it is expected that the new investment and involvement of the entrepreneurial Zwart and van der Wijk will strength Hollanders’ position in the marketplace.
