Sign and Digital UK Awards presentation separated from show

The Sign and Digital UK Awards will not this year be presented at the show after which they’re named. The event organisers say they will be presented at a later date, which is yet to be confirmed.

Now in their third year, the Awards encourage signmakers and digital print providers to enter their best work to highlight their creative skills in sign and display. Alan Caddick, the show’s senior marketing manager, said of the decision to present the awards separately: “The awards have become so successful in their first two years, it has been decided they should stand on their own two feet, separate from the exhibition. By doing this, we can help grow the awards and the show year on year independently.”

Rudi Blackett, show director, added: “The Sign and Digital UK awards is a fantastic networking event and the idea is to give the suppliers, signmakers and industry leaders the ideal opportunity to network and socialise with business contacts and colleagues where they will be able to entertain customers and help celebrate the skill, innovation and flair within the industry. Holding the event separately from the show is an exciting move that will offer great opportunities for suppliers and signmakers alike.”
