J&G wins environmental award

Print waste company J&G Environmental has won a Green Apple Environment Award in the national campaign to find Britain’s greenest companies, councils and communities. It competed against more than 500 other nominees in the Green Apple Awards for Environmental Best Practice, and will be presented with a trophy and certificate at a ceremony in the Houses of Parliament on 10 November.

The Blandford, Dorset, company has also been invited to have its winning paper published in The Green Book, a reference tool on environmental best practice.

J&G could also progress to represent the country in the European Business Awards for the Environment.

The Green Apple Awards, organised by The Green Organisation, began in 1994. They are supported by the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution for Wastes Management and other independent bodies.
