Viscom Paris has seen the European premiere of Mimaki’s flagship CJV300 series integrated print and cut units. Available in 1.3 and 1.6m widths, the CJV300 series enables simultaneous printing and cutting operations at speeds of up to 105.9m2/hr.
Two newly developed staggered printheads deliver high-resolution printing and zero-margin continuous registration mark detection means efficient media consumption and the possibility of uninterrupted cutting of full roll of media.
Availability of the anticipated SS21 silver ink was also announced at the show by Mimaki, which heralded two further additions to the Mimaki sign and graphics family being showcased at Viscom Italy in October; the Mimaki JV150 inkjet printer and its integrated counterpart, the CJV150. With print speeds of up to 56.2m2/hr the CJV150 and JV150 will be available commercially in spring 2015.
Meanwhile, Mimaki has formed a technical partnership with the Caterham F1 Team, making Mimaki the team’s official technical graphics supplier. The result of this partnership is that all Formula One communication, vehicle graphics and visuals for the Caterham F1 Team will be now be printed and cut with Mimaki’s range of solutions.
