The swissQprint 2.5 x 1.6m Impala flatbed UV printer is now available with printheads that push its printing speed up to 180m2/hr. An existing Impala, in draft mode, can print up to 130m2/hr. The new printheads do away with draft mode, bringing finer resolution that will print at the higher quoted speed.
The printhead technology has been in use since May 2014 in the Nyala 2 3.2 x 2m UV printer, which has become the most-ordered item in the swissQprint portfolio, with 50 units sold to date.
The Impala, now incorporating this printhead technology, has nine freely configurable colour channels. Standard CMYK is readily supplemented by white, effect varnish, primer, or other colours.
