Dublin-based Horizon Digital Print has bought a 3m-wide Agfa Anapurna M3200i roll-to-roll UV printer.
“We know Agfa Graphics very well with over 30% of our production equipment being manufactured by them. They, like us, understand colour as both our companies have grown from repro backgrounds. Once we saw the Anapurna M3200i RTR we knew we could find the extra business to fill it and in less than a month of being installed it is working round the clock,” said Ken Kavanagh, joint managing director at Horizon Digital Print.
The company’s relationship with Agfa goes back to 1986 when Horizon was formed to provide a repro service for litho and screen printers. Horizon has since transformed into a wide-format display company.
The new Anapurna is situated in the flexible media division. “The quality of the M3200i is fantastic. The performance of the Anapurna is also a major advantage especially when you take into account the dual roll system which is very easy to set up and allows us to print two 1.5 metre rolls side by side,” said Kavanagh.
With over 80 staff working around the clock for some of the biggest brand names in Ireland, which include major supermarkets, events organizers and retail outlets, Horizon Digital Print clearly plans to continue expanding.
