Xaar has developed the 1002 GS12U printhead, its first larger drop printhead for UV applications.
The greyscale Xaar 1002 GS12 jets drop volumes from 12-84pL, enabling a range of drop sizes to be printed with a single printhead. The large-drop capability makes the printhead useful for printing high-build spot varnishes and extra-opaque whites.
“We have worked closely with our OEM partners to develop the Xaar 1002 GS12 to meet growing market demands for a flexible printhead that can deliver high build varnish and the ultimate in opaque whites quickly and consistently,” said Richard Barham, sales and marketing director, Xaar. “Although new to the UV market, this printhead is based on our highly-successful Xaar 1002 GS12 ceramics printhead which is well proven and now used by the majority of the ceramic tile digital decoration industry today.”
Systems featuring the Xaar 1002 GS12 printhead are available now from a number of OEMs.
