A BPIF Apprentice Council has been formed to ensure apprentices can shape the delivery of their training programmes. It will also provide a platform for council members to express their views on the industry and make clear their needs. This will all feed into the BPIF’s schools programme that aims to attract more school leavers into the printing industry.
The BPIF Apprentice Council will meet twice a year. It comprises:
Chairman, Josh Levett-Thomas, Hobbs
North West representative, Liam Walton, Galloways Printers
North East representative, Aaron Quinn, Design Xpress
Midlands representative, Ryan Cope, The Sherwood Group
East representative, Luke Herbert, 3B Design & Print
South West representative, Alex Parkin, Burleigh Portishead
South East representative, Sophie Chuter, Windsor
This initiative is supported by the Printing Charity, which will be covering the travel expenses of the council members and London Calling which is hosting the inaugural meeting.
