solvoprint introduced by ArtSystems

ArtSystems, exclusive UK Neschen distributor, has introduced solvoprint, a non-woven printable wallpaper with a special coating that improves print quality.

ArtSystems’ Paul Tarry, sales division manager, consumables, said: “Solvoprint has been designed to work right across the ink range and returns the highest possible colour brilliance for printers using eco-solvent, solvent, Latex and UV curable inks. Thanks to solvoprint’s new coating, which works to maximise every ink’s colour gamut and increase its brightness, print professionals can open up a whole new spectrum in high quality wallcovering solutions.”

A 1.6m wide solvoprint will provide maximum print outcomes for most wide-format systems including the HP Latex 360 printer using Latex 310/330/370 inks, for which it is Rip independent; the Mimaki JV33, using SS 21 inks and Mimaki’s RasterLink Pro 6.0; and the Roland VS-540 using Eco Sol Max Inks and VersaWorks 5.x.

Tarry added: “Solvoprint is non-PVC, is very strong both wet and dry, has a robust 190gsm specification and is scratch resistant. It is certified with a Fire Rating of EN 13 501 and is certified for use with HP’s third generation of Latex inks.”

Dimensionally stable with almost zero shrinkage, Solvoprint is also breathable which makes it suitable for bathrooms and kitchens. The new material feels like paper. Further textures will be announced at a later date.
