Spec announced of fast Contex HD Ultra X 6000 scanner

Contex has provided the specification of its new 60in CCD scanner - the HD Ultra X 6000, which comes in two models and will be available from distributors by September.

The scanner allows users to capture originals up to 61.8in at a very fast 17.8ips, and features both GB Ethernet xDTR2.5 and USB 3.0 SuperSpeed xDTR3 data transfer technologies. A throttle buffer control is said to eliminate scanner pauses, allowing operators to maintain the fastest scanning speeds. The Contex HD Ultra X 6000 boasts the highest colour rendering index (CRI) thanks to Contex Perfect Light, which uses the latest LED technology combined with specially developed diffusion filters. Several technologies are integrated for advanced colour matching and sharp scans. These include: Contex’s lens spherical correction technology and accuracy lens enhancement (ALE), which minimise optical distortion; X-Rite ICC colour technology; Fujifilm camera lenses, which deliver large depth of focus (7mm); and CCD optics of 1200dpi. The HD Ultra X 6000 is available as a stand alone scanner (Contex AIO optional) or a ScanStation Pro configuration, which includes a stand, touchscreen monitor, and Nextimage Repro software (Contex AIO optional). The scanner can be networked to any various printers.
