Graphic Printing Technologies (GPT) will again hold its October Festival of Signs, Display and Graphics Applications - otherwise known as Printoberfest - at its Reading base on 7 - 8 October.

A new wide-format media brand - Westland Digital - has been brought to market by PPB, the new umbrella name for Proctors, Buchanan Paper and Board, and A&R Board. Roland has launched Eco-Sol Max 3 inks for use with its eco-solvent printers and printer/cutters. The new ink has been developed to deliver faster drying times and better overall performance levels. Available in 220cc and 500cc cartridges, they also come at a lower price per cc of ink said the company.

Colorific Solutions has been renamed CSL Digital. The rebrand coincides an announcement from Roland DG that it has appointed CSL Digital to be an authorised dealer for its digital printing and cutting technologies.

New from ColorGate comes The Rapid Spectro Cube (RSC), an all-in-one colour management solution for the creation of ICC-profiles. It can take substrates up to 600 x 600mm with a maximum substrate thickness of 80mm, while processing up to 10000 patches per target.

Spandex has added Avery Dennison’s diamond films to its Supreme Wrapping Films (SWF) range. The new diamond collection offers an ultra-metallic finish in five colours: white, red, blue and amber plus one limited edition - purple. The new films are available by the metre for next day delivery from Spandex.

Organisers of Sign and Digital UK 2016 have unveiled a new look for the “UK’s sign making, display solutions and digital printing event” event, which takes place in halls 17/18 of the NEC on 19 - 21 April next year.
