HP has released an update to its HP Latex mobile application with translations in 12 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Taiwanese).

PressOn has signed a partnership with South African designer and photographer Robin Sprong. The deal sees Chatham-based PressOn manufacturing and distributing the Robin Sprong Wallpaper and Surface Design collection in the UK. The collection will include commercial wallpapers, printed canvases, fabric prints and surface design concepts for the interior decoration market.

Esher-based SignAway has carpeted London Bridge! The company produced a stunning multi-coloured 250m x 5m floorcovering on its Vutek GS5500 roll-to-roll UV printer on behalf of agency Marmalade as part of a project called ‘Spark Your City’ which aims to transform cities around the world into living playgrounds. The dazzling carpet, which reads ‘Love Mondays' from the air, was designed by BBC Radio 1 DJ Gemma Cairney and rolled out on Monday in time for commuters to walk across.

Colour Graphics has bought a MTEX 5032Pro and increased its space to house the direct-to-textile printer and provide a dedicated to fabric and finishing area. It has also bought a large-format Multicam CNC router.

Sign manufacturer Astley hopes to soon be using a new water jet cutter at its Gateshead facility for large-format inkjet printed applications. The company has taken on two operators at the site as part of a growth plan for 2015.

When VISG was asked to create full vehicle wraps for the four ‘battle buses’ that featured in a political comedy TV series in the run-up to the recent General Election, the company had three days to turn the job around, including the removal of existing graphics. It used 3M IJ25 digital print film and 30 Series coloured film for the buses.

In its flagship Adobe Creative Cloud 2015 release Adobe has included major updates to Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Premiere Pro CC and InDesign CC; as well as new connected mobile apps for iOS and Android. The company also released Adobe Stock, a stock content service. In addition, it announced an expanded Creative Cloud enterprise offering. “Creative Cloud 2015 is our most powerful and comprehensive release to date,” said David Wadhwani, senior vice president, Digital Media at Adobe.
