Roland DG has confirmed its attendance at The Wide Format, Screen, Digital and Displays Show in Glasgow at the Hilton Strathclyde on 10 - 11 March. The company will show the VersaExpress RF-640 printer, the popular VersaCamm VS-300i print-and-cut machine and the VersaUV LEF-20 desktop flatbed printer.

Contract Sign Systems has signalled its intention to diversify its service offering by becoming the first UK-based company to invest in Canon’s Océ Arizona 6160 XTS wide-format flatbed printer. It has also bought a Zünd G3 digital cutting table.

Agfa Graphics has added support for electronic document distribution to the latest version of StoreFront, its Web-to-print solution. Designed for the display/signage and commercial printing markets, Apogee and Asanti StoreFront 2.3 can now be used by PSPs to market services and products like images, PDFs, ePub files or website banners. ?

UK large-format POS specialist Best Digital has boosted production capacity by 50% after buying a Screen Truepress Jet W3200UV HS wide-format flatbed printer. The new machine, part-funded with a £50,000 grant from the UK’s Regional Growth Fund, features CMYK plus light cyan and light magenta and two opaque white ink channels.

Roland will dedicate one of two stands to textile printing at the Sign and Digital UK 2015 show where it said it will also provide a “number of UK firsts and exclusive pre-launch previews” as well as provide entrepreneurial and innovative applications.

Sign and Digital UK will see ArtSystems introduce a new ClustaRack designed to hold two inch and/or three inch core size rolls of media for storage. The company will show the product alongside the latest Summa cutters including the new F-Series flatbed, the DC5X, S-Class T Series and XY Autotrim machines.

New from Fuji is the Inca Onset R40LT wide-format, flatbed UV printer.

Based on the Onset Scaleable Architecture platform, the Onset Series now comprises 18 different models and three different handling systems.

Stanford Marsh Group Graphics (SMGG) has expanded its cutting solutions with the addition of the Colex Sharpcut flatbed machine. It sits alongside the Fotoba cutters already distributed by SMGG.

HP will offer up a ‘Digitally Printed Supermarket’ on its stand at Packaging Innovations 2015 later this week to demonstrate how its Indigo and Scitex printers can help brands deliver high quality, creative marketing campaigns. Samples printed on the HP Scitex FB10000 will include packaging, POP/POS and other corrugated applications.

Kyocera has opened an inkjet test lab in Esslingen, near Stuttgart, Germany. It will supplement the inkjet design centre at Kyocera’s European base, which opened in September 2013 to provide technical service for printer and ink manufacturers that are working with Kyocera KJ4 Series inkjet printheads. The facility has three Kyocera field engineers who provide onsite support and remote technical service to customers.
