The Print Networking Club will be holding a ‘Print Rocks’ party night on 15 December at the St Bride Foundation in central London.

There will be bands from the world of print and design - with a few harmonious singing voices thrown in for good measure - all in the Bridewell Hall which will be suitably bedecked with twinkling lights and all things festive.

A Viscom ‘Best of 2014 Award’ in the Large Format Printing category has been given to the Mimaki JFX200-2513 and the UJV500-160 LED UV printers.

The Printing Charity has become a partner to The Rory Peck Trust, which has announced it will provide eight safety training bursaries to UK freelancers who work in print or online as journalists or photographers. 

With less than a year to go to InPrint 2015, the total space footprint now exceeds that of the inaugural event this year. 150 companies will exhibit at InPrint 2015 which will be co-located with Productronica.

Gloucester-based print and digital media house Severn has turned to Prepress UK to keep its Kodak Prinergy driven Epson large-format printers producing ISO12647-2 certified proofs. The single StudioRip Inkjet Edition software package is driving two Epson 7800 printers – and producing proofs at twice the speed of the original system. 

Roland DG will use the Newtech show in Corby, Northamptonshire, 18-19 November, to showcase its print-and-cut solutions including the Soljet Pro 4 XR-640 and the VersaStudio BN-20 desktop inkjet printer/cutter.

HP has introduced Reach compliant Permanent Gloss Adhesive Vinyl and Permanent Matte Adhesive Vinyl for use with its latex printers. They are available in 30, 36, 42, 54 and 60in widths, and provide outdoor display permanence of three years un-laminated and up to five years laminated.

Print specialist YR Store has collaborated with Japanese streetwear brand ‘A Bathing Ape’ to launch a pop-up within Selfridges on London’s Oxford Street where customers can design their own personalised T-shirts printed on Epson SureColor direct-to-garment printers.
