DistributorX has been appointed by 2imagine as a distributor for the latter’s online editing and collaboration solution for Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator documents. DistributorX will distribute 2imagine UK and Republic of Ireland as well as in the US and Canada.

The ‘permanently peelable’ ReTac 75 for internal wall graphic applications is now available from Drytac Europe. Once printed, the glossy film - compatible with latex, solvent and and UV inkjet printers – can be installed, repositioned and removed from most surfaces without causing any damage. 

Colour management specialist CMA Imaging has taken on Dr. Pierre-Alain Brugger in its consulting group. The materials scientist, who specializes in custom nanotechnology and chemistry-based coatings, has solely and in partnership, developed imaging and proofing solutions for companies including Canon, Epson and HP. 

A company called Archroma is to buy BASF’s global textile chemicals business. Itself owned by US-based private investment firm SK Capital Partners, Archroma said the BASF acquisition will complement its textile dyes and chemicals portfolio and geographical presence. It currently provides products across the textile chemicals spectrum, with particular focus on the printing, finishing and coating chemicals segments. 

Imprint Group has become the first UK-based company to invest in both an Inca Onset S50i and Onset R40i flatbed UV printer from Fujifilm. Group sales director Dave Matthews said: “Now is the right time to replace two of the three Inca Onset S20 devices we purchased four years ago with more advanced pieces of equipment. We believe that the investment in highly productive devices like the Inca Onset S50i and R40i will allow us to increase efficiency, print longer production runs and deliver higher volume POP materials.”

axaio software has announced compatibility for various of its software programs with Adobe’s latest Creative Cloud 2014. axaio MadeToPrint for InDesign is already compatible with Adobe CC 2014, but now the company has added compatibility of MadeToPrint for Adobe Illustrator, MadeForLayers for Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, and MadeToTag for Adobe InDesign.

Find Signage, a developer of dementia-specific signs, has installed a DYSS X7 cutting table to widen its offering and reduce production times. In addition, it has cut the cost of external suppliers by over 20% by reducing the work passed to subcontractors.

At the SGIA Expo in the US next week, Matan will launch the 3m wide Quantum UV printer for close-view indoor graphics, and a 3m wide MatanFlex UV printer - together with UVFlex inks - for fleet graphics.

Epson renewed its partnership with fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto to support the ‘Hello Istanbul!’ fashion show held on Saturday in Istanbul, Turkey. The partnership, through which Yamamoto uses Epson print technology to create textile pieces, follows on from the V&A's ‘Fashion in Motion: Kansai Yamamoto’ event held in London last year where they also worked together.
