GMG ups Canon support

Colour management software company GMG has extended its Canon printer support. The Canon imagePrograf iPF8300s and iPF6300s inkjet printers based on the Lucia EX eight-colour ink system are now fully supported by GMG ColorProof, GMG FlexoProof and GMG DotProof contone and halftone proofing software. The new Canon printers have also been optimised for the range of GMG inkjet proof media. 

Cannell Graphics puts growth plans into action with EskoArtwork

Specialist exhibition stand designer Cannell Graphics hopes to significantly increase its market share following the installation of a Kongsberg i-XL44 table from new EskoArtwork reseller City and West End Solutions (CWES). This is the first EskoArtwork order taken by City and West End Solutions and it should help the Essex operation to produce a wider range of bespoke designs.

Mutoh to premiere 3D UV inks

At Sign and Digital UK Mutoh will première its new 3D UV inks suited for 3D wrapping applications on curved, riveted or corrugated surfaces. Immediately dry and ready for lamination and application, the new stretchable 3D UV ink offers 200% elongation capabilities. The zero VOC 3D UV ink has been tuned to Mutoh’s Zephyr UV 65in UV inkjet printer.

Marabu uses Fespa Digital to show off new ink

At the Fespa Digital show in Hamburg in May print ink specialst Marabu will introduce a number of new formulations, including MaraJet DI-MS, a mild solvent base ink for Mimaki JV33 large-format printers. Also new will be the UV-curable UltraJet DUV-H for strong adhesion onto rigid and flexible media. The family comprises CcYMmK and a white.

Free finishing consultancy from Solent 

Solent Sewing and Welding will be launching two finishing devices for sign and banner producers at Sign and Digital this year: the Miller Weldmaster 112 Extreme and Impulse Extreme with automatic folding device. Epson out in force at Sign and Digital UK 2011

Epson and its strategic sales partners will showcase a range of aqueous and solvent inkjet printers at Sign and Digital UK 2011. Between them, CWE Solutions, Graphic Printing Technologies and Spandex will all exhibit models from Epson’s roll-fed range, including the 64in Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 eco-solvent type printer and the 64in aqueous inkjet Epson Stylus Pro11880 and 44in Epson Stylus Pro 9700 printers.

Neolt appoints Color Confidence as master UK distributor

Italian manufacturer Neolt has appointed Color Confidence as master distributor for its printing products in the UK. At the centre of the Neolt offering will be the AsterJet and X-Jet machines, both of which will be demonstrated at Sign and Digital UK next month.
