Northern Flags does its bit in COVID-19 crisis

Northern Flags has launched a range of #ThankYouNHS products - including flags, banners and stickers - with £5 from each one sold donated to the NHS Charities COVID-19 Urgent Appeal.

The appeal, set up by NHS Charities Together, is raising money to support all of the NHS staff and volunteers currently working under unimaginable conditions to battle the spread of the coronavirus disease. The donations will go towards well-being packs for staff and volunteers working in hospitals, travel and accommodation costs, and longer-term mental health support for medical worker after the pandemic has ended. The appeal has already raised over £18m of a £100m target. The #ThankYouNHS range has been designed in the signature NHS blue, with the message displayed in that recognisable font; the company hopes its own contribution goes some way in helping support the country’s medical workers. Northern Flags MD Iain Clasper-Cotte said: “These are unprecedented and scary times for us as a country, but one thing that has stood out has been the unwavering and tireless efforts of our NHS medical workers and volunteers. We designed this new range to allow people and businesses to show their support for our incredible NHS and, more importantly, to raise money that will go towards helping them. The £5 we will be donating from each product sold will be a small gesture but hopefully a vital one in the long battle against this deadly disease.”
