Cotswold Printing makes 30,000 PPE visors

Wide-format focussed Cotswold Printing Company has made 30,000 PPE visors and is set to deliver a further 15,000 if required.
25 local residents have been helping the family-owned business produce the PPE for local NHS staff since it began using its Zund flatbed cutter for the purpose. Other help came from Canon after Cotswold Printing - which runs a Colorado 1640 and an Arizona 1360 XT - contacted the supplier asking for suitable clear film. After exploring various materials, Canon supplied Clear Display Film, designed as an optically clear print media, but with the right thickness, weight and rigidity to produce the PPE. Adam Soble, MD, Cotswold Printing Company, said: “This is a crisis that impacts all of us, and as a business, we wanted to play our part, so we decided early on that we wanted to produce PPE for local hospitals. Having already worked with Canon, it seemed like the perfect place for us to explore how we could make this happen. Thanks to its supply of Clear Display Film, we’ve now made approximately 30,000 visors and are continuing to supply hospitals with this vitally needed equipment. We now hold enough stocks to deliver a further 15,000 visors if required in the future.” Cotswold Printing Company’s response to the crisis has also seen the business pivot to printing safety signs and floor graphics for businesses to support social distancing rules and protect the general public.
