EFKA acquires DPI UK

Netherlands-based EFKA, a manufacturer of aluminium textile frames, has acquired DPI UK, the Castle Donington-based tensioned fabric displays specialist.

“We are delighted to welcome the team from DPI into our organisation. This acquisition marks an important chapter in our strategy to further strengthen EFKA's position as the European market leader," said Ids Boersma, CEO of EFKA, which was founded in 1888 as a wholesaler in wooden frames and has been producing aluminium textile frames since 2009 for the sign, exhibition and (retail) interior market. The company distributes to 27 different countries.

Paul Tomlinson and Sandra Wiggins, former owners of DPI, said: "This is a great opportunity for DPI and EFKA to further develop the UK market. We are confident that our customers will benefit from the combined expertise and increased capacity that this acquisition will provide."

Service and supply to DPI's current customer-base will remain unchanged. During the course of 2024, the integration of the two organisations will take place, and the EFKA brand name will become gradually more visible across the UK market.
