Endutex buys out Ultraflex Europe

Endutex has acquired digital print media supplier Ultraflex Europe and rebranded it Endutex UK. The buyout will give the expanding Portugal-headquartered coated textile group a new distribution base in the UK.

Founded in 1970, and with a HQ near Porto, Endutex has production facilities in Portugal and Brazil as well as distribution branches in Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, and Germany. The group - whose focus is on the production of polyurethane, PVC, acrylic, and silicone-coated media products up to 5m wide - exports around 85% of its output.

Vitor Abreu, CEO of Endutex, said of the acquisition: "Ultraflex Europe has built a strong UK business, selling a broad range of media to main wide-format printers across the UK. We look forward to working with the new UK team to develop a broader portfolio of products with them and provide an even better service to all our customers.

"We are delighted to confirm that the acquisition has now gone through. We have been part of the USA based Ultraflex business for the past 30 years but, for many years, have been a very separate independent trading company with little trading synergy between us,” said Clint Green, managing director for Ultraflex Europe. “Endutex, however, is a great fit for the UK Ultraflex business, with innovative complementary products to add to our portfolio. This acquisition will make us a wholly owned distributor for Endutex in the UK."

Stock of the Endutex product range is now available at the Endutex UK Cambridgeshire facility and also at Soyang UK, a distributor and long partner of Endutex in the UK market.
