Roland DG introduces MO-240 object printer

Roland DG has extended its VersaObject printer series with the MO-240. The unit has a printing area of 610mm x 458mm (24inx18in) and accommodates 3D objects up to 204mm (8in) thick.

The MO-240 runs at up to 2.07m2/h in standard mode, using newly developed print heads in a staggered layout, a UV-LED lamp, and dot control technology. Notably, productivity for simultaneous white printing has doubled compared to previous models.

Using Roland DG EUV5 inks, including orange, red, white, and gloss in addition to CMYK, the colour gamut is expanded by approximately 20% compared to CMYK printing, the MO-240 accommodates various materials, from soft to hard, covering plastic, paper, leather, wood, and even glass and metal with the use of primer ink. It has a 7in full-colour touch panel for intuitive operation, automatic cleaning, and includes VersaWorks 6 professional Rip software.

Simultaneously, Roland DG has introduced PrintAutoMate, a cloud-based software aimed at standardising output operations and streamlining print workflows for those dealing with diverse data, media, and products.

PrintAutoMate automatically converts printing data into pre-registered fixture layout data, assigns print jobs to operators, and seamlessly integrates with VersaWorks 6 Rip software. It is accessed via the Roland DG Connect Premium Plan.

Roland DG dealer printMax has taken its first order for the MO-240 from Aford Awards.
