Printing inks and coatings specialist Siegwerk has signed an agreement for a Standard Membership with the World Climate Foundation, which for over a decade has been promoting collaboration between governments, businesses, financial institutions, and international organisations to accelerate the transition to a green economy.
“We are excited to be a part of this initiative, that aims to promote climate protection and energy efficiency. This membership allows us to drive the sustainable business transition together with peers,” said Alina Marm, head of global sustainability and circular economy at Siegwerk.
According to its sustainability strategy ‘HorizonNow’ Siegwerk has committed to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050. The company has set near- and long-term company-wide emission reductions in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). It is also committed to achieve carbon neutrality for scope 1 abd 2 already by the end of 2025.
