The team behind Four Pees has launched a cloud-based print production management platform called Atomyx. This will be spun-off from Four Pees as a separate company to stimulate its growth by allowing other partners, resellers, and consultants to provide services around the platform.
Designed as a user-friendly Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), Atomyx allows non-technical users to integrate various data sources, including online platforms, Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, and on-premise data into a unified cloud-based service. As such, it enables everyone involved in the print manufacturing process to keep track of production.
The system comprises three products - Atomyx Manage, Atomyx Prepare, and Atomyx Layout.
The Atomyx Manage connectivity and production management dashboard provides order visualisation, automation, and manual intervention capabilities. Atomyx Prepare is built on callas pdfToolbox technology and is a pre-press/PDF processing API that allows dynamic printability checks, colour conversions and file preparation. The Atomyx Layout API optimises media usage through automated layout planning for widely different printing technologies.
