IMI Europe and AWA join forces on inkjet conferences
IMI Europe (Cambridge, UK) and AWA (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) have decided to co-locate two inkjet conferences in Lisbon, Portugal in November 2011. The AWA Ink Jet Label and Packaging Print Seminar will take place 8 – 9 November at the Sheraton Lisboa Hotel, Lisbon, and be followed at the same location by IMI Europe’s nineteenth Annual European Ink Jet Conference on 9 – 11 November.
“By bringing together these two events, delegates can gain the best information covering all of the emerging ink jet applications and markets,” said Mike Willis, managing director of IMI Europe.
As in previous years, the IMI Europe Annual Ink Jet Conference will feature industry leaders from emerging inkjet markets such as commercial printing, textiles, and product decoration, as well as new component technologies such as printheads, inks and curing systems.
“It is becoming clear that inkjet technology will have a major impact on existing print markets over the next decade” added Willis. “Our objective is to identify the emerging technologies and markets.” As well as 20 presentations any delegate can give a five minute talk during the Suppliers Forum.
Also taking place at the Sheraton Lisboa Hotel, 7 8 November, is the IMI Ink Jet Academy – Theory of Ink Jet Technology course. This is a half-day course describing the latest advances in inkjet and ink technologies, led by Willis and Dr. Alan Hudd of Xennia Technology.
