Change at the helm of Drupa

For health reasons Manuel Mataré, director of Drupa and digi:media, will gradually be withdrawing from operational management as of the start of next year. He will progressively hand over to Sabine Geldermann in a transition phase that will run until the end of the second quarter of 2013, after which time Mataré will support the Drupa and digi:media teams in a consulting capacity.

“As hard as this step is for me, I have to slow down for health reasons,” said Mataré, who will be celebrating his 60th birthday next year.

Geldermann has served as a project director in charge of the European trade fair for advertising materials (PSI) as well as the International Franchise Fair at Blenheim International (Germany), a globally operating British exhibition organiser. She experienced both the merger of Blenheim International with Miller Freeman in 1996 as well as the take-over by Reed Exhibitions. She has been a member of the extended board of Reed Exhibitions Germany since 2000 and was that year in charge of Viscom and Pro Sign.
