IIJ on rapid growth curve

Industrial Inkjet (IIJ) has doubled the size of its manufacturing base in Cambridgeshire following a 50% sales growth and increase in staff from 25 to 40 this year. Further recruitment is currently taking place and IIJ is also ramping up its R&D, where a six-figure investment has been made in test and manufacturing systems in the past month, as well as adding in a mezzanine floor to its UK headquarters.

IIJ, which uses Konica Minolta inkjet printhead technologies in its print engines, provides bespoke systems for niche integrators and printers to global giants in sectors such as pharmaceutical, security printing, flooring and laminates. According to managing director John Corrall “the security, labelling and product decoration markets have provided the strongest growth.”

Cambridge-based IIJ also has sales offices in Germany, Italy and the US where there’s a technical support centre.
