Entries invited for two key BPIF awards

Entries are now being invited for the 2018 Kathy Woodward Award for Learning, a fund set up in 2015 in memory of the late BPIF CEO. Nominations are also being sought for the Victor Watson Trophy to recognise a young person of outstanding achievement in printing and allied trades.
Applicants for the £1,000 Kathy Woodward training award - sponsored by Webmart - need to submit a 500 word proposal on why they should receive the money and how they would spend it to further their career in the print, packaging or graphic design industries. Applications should be sent to sophie.chater@bpif.org.uk by 5pm on 8 June. The winner will receive a cheque and trophy at a ceremony taking place in London on 4 July. The Victor Watson award, now in its third year, is open to any young person (under the age of 31 at the time of the presentation) employed in the printing industry and the nominator and nominee do not have to be associated with any particular organisation. The recipient of the trophy will be encouraged to apply for a Printing Charity bursary of £1,500. The trophy will be presented on 4 July at a ceremony in London. Entry is again via Sophie Chater.
