BCQ has bought its first flatbed printer, an Acuity Advance HS HD3545W from Fujifilm. Richard Knowles, chairman of BCQ which specialises in printing marketing materials, said: “We were looking for something that not only would ramp up output speeds, but also deliver the ‘zap-between-the-eyes’ quality that some of our high-end clients have come to expect from us.”
He added: “We searched the market for over three months looking for the ideal product, until a visit to Fujifilm’s Advanced Print Technology Centre in Belgium convinced us the Acuity Advance HS could be exactly what we needed.
“So far all of our in-house printers have been roll-fed machines, so this is our first venture into wide format flatbed,” concludes Richard. “We are really looking forward to the results we’ll achieve with the installation of the Acuity Advance HS which will take place at our new premises in the near future.”
The Acuity Advance HS HD3545W has production speeds of up to 40.2m²/hr and a high quality mode of 28.4m²/hr, plus an express mode that offers billboard quality prints at speeds up to 61m²/hr.
