Projects and Print installs first Agfa Anapurna M2500i in UK

Kings Langley-based Projects and Print has installed the UK’s first 2.5m wide Agfa Anapurna M2500i high-speed hybrid UV-curable inkjet system. This four year-old trade printer, which has increased its turnover year-on-year to £1 million, is now also looking for larger promises and recruiting staff.

MD Richard Barrett said of the new printer: “We needed to increase the level of our UV direct to substrate output so we went to Fespa looking for a dual RTR and flatbed printer. We had three manufacturers in mind but it quickly came down to Agfa who informed us that a new Anapurna M2500i hybrid printer was soon to be available and arranged for us to loan an Anapurna M2500 in the interim.”

Chris Parker, operations manager at Projects and Print, added: “The new Anapurna M2500i, however, is much faster and the highly accurate dot positioning provides excellent image quality, which is further enhanced by the three-pass mode with gradient functionality so there is no banding.”
